I tend to like this one better than the newer version as well. I love the simplicity! The newer version overwhelms me when you have all kind of events going on at the same time. I just wish I could remarry on the older version when a partner dies young.
That sounds really sad. I can't help you, unfortunately, since we're no longer updating this version. You can, however, play our new version if you join our Discord server (link on main page). It plays quite differently, though.

I had a hilarious run where everybody died at the second generation bc literally no starting couple chose to have children lmao
Otherwise, wonderful game! Simple but engaging, and somehow I like it more than expanded version, to be honest. Great job either way!
